For over 25 years I have supported people through many challenging transitions: from widowhood to cancer diagnosis, to partnership breakdown to recovery from motor vehicle accidents and beyond. My specializations are in trauma, grief and loss. I bring a wide range of experiences from working in women’s shelters to being a guest lecturer for Masters level students, to supporting people after motor vehicle accidents through to facilitating art and writing workshops for cancer patients and their loved ones
“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” ~ Albert Einstein
Over the years I have done a great deal of group facilitation, both talk therapy and supports groups as well as expressive arts based facilitation. I have presented my work twice at the Bereavement Ontario Network Annual Conference been a Guest speaker at an ART for Cancer fundraiser with over 200 people in the audience and have occasionally taught Social Work classes (BSW and MSW level). I have regularly offered a variety of Expressive Arts Based workshops at Camp Widow, all which I designed myself. I have been a facilitator of the Writing for the Health of It Program at Wellspring countless times and have facilitated introductory Mindfulness classes.
If you have any need to brainstorm, or think I may be a good fit for a presentation or for facilitation for your group or organization, please contact me and see what we can arrange.
